Also what is the educational level like in mexico?

Me and some friends are spending a week in Mexico soon. We are flying into Mexico City, and plan to spend some time there before possibly branching off to Acapulco or San Miguel Allende (Sp?). We are looking to enjoy the Mexican nightlife and culture. Is Mexico City a good place to spend a 3-4 days, or should we quickly look to elsewhere after a night or two? Anything I need to know as a 24 yearold American guy? Are the people friendly toward Americans? Any nightlife tips?Thanks for your help.
