Monaco

What is the best mode of transportation to travel from Paris to Nice? As we have limited vacation days, should we spend more time in Paris, Nice or Monaco? I've got a total of 10 full days to play around with. The idea was to go to Paris first and then to Nice (with a day trip to Monaco) and last stop Barcelona. Would that be too ambitious?
